Abstract

Social-economic changes that follow rapid scientific and technological development affect the system of education and children's upbringing. As the modern society changes many roles including the parents' roles change as well as their attitude towards children. Parents as well as their attitude towards children are not only very important but also irreplacable factor of children's succesfull growth and upbringing process. According to that, the aim of this work is to test how often parents help their children in learning and how interested they are in organization of the learning process. Using the analysis of variances we tested if there is statistically important difference in the presence of some specific orientation in the students' learning process depending on not only frequency of their parents' involvment in that process but also on their interest in the process of their children's learning organization. Obtained results show that there is statistically important difference among mentioned variables. The students whose parents normally have interest in their school success show more expressive specific orientation unlike the students whose parents are not interested in their learning at all. Also, students who normally get help from both of their parents have equally expressed specific orientation unlike those who get help from none of their parents.
