Contemporary research in the field of education shows that the teaching style closely determines the quality and level of student achievement. Teacher styles are considered as very important for successful learning in the teaching process today. A significant field of study is determining whether and in what sense the socio-status characteristics, such as gender and age, are related to the teacher's styles. The aim of this paper was to examine how students assess the representation of teachers' styles depending on the gender and age of the students. Our main hypothesis was that there are some differences in the representation of teachers' styles depending on the gender and age of the students. The sample of the research consisted of students from the seventh, eighth and ninth grades from the area of the Sarajevo-Roman region. On the basis of the obtained results of the research, the representation of the democratic style of teachers' work, depending on gender of the students, is not registered, while it is registered representation of a democratic style, depending on the age of the students. When it comes to student assessment of the presence of an autocratic and anarchic style of teacher work, the representation of both styles is registered depending on gender of the students, while autocratic and anarchic style of teacher work is not registered depending on age. Male students estimated that their teachers use autocratic and anarchic style in their teaching process.
