THE EDUCATIONAL LEVEL OF PARENTS AND MODELS OF PRESCHOOL PROGRAMME AS FACTORS OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN`S CREATIVITY

Abstract

Different approaches to fostering children's art have certain repercussions on children's creativity depending on the understanding of the meaning and importance of art education of preschool children. In this study, it was assumed that certain factors might influence the creative development of the youngest, with the emphasis on the impact of the factors of the Preschool Programme Model implemented in kindergartens in Serbia for two decades now, as well as on the influence of the family, namely the socio-cultural status of parents, which was examined as a factor in this study. The study relied on Williams‟ creativity test, applied in numerous studies both in Serbia and the world over. Evaluation was carried out taking into account the differences between the strategies underlying the programmes, their objectives, the contents and methods through which they are realized, as well as their impact on children as established by the relevant scientific procedures. Particular attention was paid to the level of children‟s creativity in the field of fine arts.
