Abstract

Physical activity as a necessary condition for living has not only biological but also the social importance and it is an aesthetic and biological need of a living organism in all stages of development. Physical, as well as various sporting and recreational (and health and recreational) activities are increasingly present in the life of modern man, of all ages, sexes and different professions, as well as of varying degrees of health.

Many studies show the inadequate development of fine motor skills, motor coordination of deaf children, as well as the problems that arise in the orientation in space and maintaining a balance in these children. At the same time it is indicated that the prevalence of obesity in children with hearing impairment is greater than in those of hearing population and it is 24.7% for boys and 20.4% for girls.

The paper deals with the sporting activities that deaf children in primary schools specialized in their training, take part in. Special attention is paid to the results in the shot put that primary school children achieved at the Republic contest for deaf pupils of Serbia.
