The science festival is a significant form of non-formal education that offers students the opportunity to gain new knowledge and develop an interest in science through interactive activities. This paper aims to explore students’ perceptions of the science festival in the context of fostering their interest in biology. A survey was conducted among eighth- and ninthgrade students who attended the festival. The results indicate that a large percentage of students express a desire for more practical biology lessons and research activities, and believe that biology could influence their future career choices. Although the results do not establish a causal relationship, they suggest that such events may play a role in motivating students.
