APPLICATION OF OPEN-ENDED TASKS IN VOLUME CALCULATION IN PRIMARY MATHEMATICS TEACHING

In modern teaching of mathematics, the open type of tasks plays a significant role. Most of the attention in such tasks is focused on the problem solving process and discussion, and less on the result itself. A pilot study was conducted on a sample of 36 subjects(students), the aim of which was to determine the impact of open-ended tasks on the effectiveness of volume calculation in elementary mathematics classes. Experimental and theoretical analysis methods were used in the research. The technique we used was testing, and the measuring instruments were informal knowledge tests (initial and final).
