MEANS AND MATERIALS FOR TEACHING WORK IN INITIAL READING AND WRITING

Abstract

This paper analyzes textual and other media devices in teaching initial reading and writing and provides critical judgments about them. We have discussed the issue of the quality of textbooks and made recommendations for their improvement. The practice of writing textbooks is related to their educational uses and methodical theories. This paper provides a comparative analysis between the Primer (first reader) and First book (starter book for children) is currently used in the Republic of Srpska as well as the additional teaching and ancillary media such as spelling books, workbooks and methodical aids for graphomotor exercises. We used analytical-descriptive methods and classification methods. The results show that the textbooks and other teaching resources meet the basic didactic and methodological requirements for writing a textbook, but it is necessary to act further on their development and improvement.
