ANALYSIS OF THE NUMBER OF ENROLLED AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE GRADUATED FROM THE PHYSICS STUDY PROGRAM OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BANJA LUKA SINCE ESTABLISHMENT UNTIL 2022

Abstract

Department of Physics at The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka has a tradition of 30 years. It was established in 1994 as a part of the Faculty of Philosophy. From its establishment until 2022, a total of 549 students were enrolled in three educational profiles: general, teaching, physics and informatics. The paper presents an analysis of the number of students enrolled sorted by years and profiles as well as an analysis of employment opportunities for graduate students in the specific time period. Data from the student service, the E-System of the Faculty (information database), which is being conducted and updated since 2017/2018, and data from private sources were also used. The results of the analysis show that there are large fluctuations in the number of students enrolled in the previous period until most students after completing their studies are employed in primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Srpska
