Abstract

An anonymous questionnaire with six questions was applied on a sample of 100 respondents, 48 students and 52 female students at the age of 12-13, from “23 October“ Elementary School in Sremski Karlovci. The first two questions were related to the basic data: gender, age, and the other four provided an insight into the involvement of boys and girls in sports clubs and how many time a week and under which conditions they train, if they play any sports activity at all. The research results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the variable Intensity of practicing kinesiology activities (p = 0.00) and the Place of practicing kinesiology activities (p = 0.00) in favor of boys. In terms of involvement in extracurricular sports activities and variables for the assessment of weekly practicing kinesiology activities statistically significant differences were not observed. It can be concluded that boys from Sremski Karlovci are more interested in joining sports clubs at this age and that they are more interesedt in sports activities.
